Labor Day: A Real Day Off for Coaches

Scheduler closed, autoresponder on, off means off. The coach’s day-off system — not the client message.

This is your day-off system. The client-facing holiday note already shipped. Labor Day 2026 is Monday. Boundaries that exist only as a feeling will fail by noon.

Off Means Three Switches

  1. Scheduler closed Saturday–Monday.
  2. Autoresponder on: next live day + the working agreement reply window.
  3. Phone out of the portal. A VA can watch fires. You cannot “just check.”

Progress still exists. You do not owe anyone a visible recap on a federal holiday.

How to Flip Them Sunday Night

Do it before the wine. Closed calendar, autoresponder, phone in another room. If a client is in licensed-care crisis, they already have a door that is not you.

Close the scheduler for Sat–Mon now. Write the autoresponder. Put the phone charger in another room tonight.
