Close August in Your CRM in 20 Minutes

Invoices, no-shows, at-risk list, September calendar. Then stop.

Month-end is not a retreat. It’s a close. Twenty minutes, four passes, then you leave the prep system alone.

The Four Passes

  1. Money — unsent invoices, failed charges. Use whatever payment system you already have.
  2. No-shows — who burned a slot; fee charged or waived (if waived, write why — once).
  3. At-risk — no next session, flat work, silent since the last question.
  4. September — every active client has a date or a written pause.

This is not a tech audit. Do not add a tool tonight.

How to Stop at 20

Phone in another room. Four headings, in order. A dated at-risk list beats a pretty CRM.

Month-end

Where Coaches Break

  • Opening the CRM “to tidy tags” and burning an hour.
  • Skipping the at-risk list because it feels like sales. It’s hygiene.
  • Starting September with mystery slots. Mystery slots become ghosts.

The 3-Minute Action

Set a 20-minute timer. Run the four passes in order. When the timer ends, close the tab even if pass four is ugly. Ugly and dated beats pretty and open.
