Content Repurposing System

The number-one objection we hear from coaches about content is: “I just don’t have time to post consistently.”

Here’s the thing — you’re already creating content. You just don’t know it.

Every coaching session, every client breakthrough, every framework you explain is content-ready material. The problem isn’t a lack of things to say. It’s that you’re creating everything from scratch instead of repurposing what you already have.

This guide walks through a system that turns one hour of raw material into 30 pieces of content — and it takes you about 90 minutes total.

Source Formats Tools Time
60-min coaching session Blog post, 5 social posts, email, video clip, podcast ep, 3 quote cards Otter, ChatGPT, Canva, Headliner 90 min
Client worksheet Checklist, thread, infographic, video tutorial Canva, Loom 60 min
Email tip Twitter thread, LinkedIn post, Instagram story Direct repurpose 15 min

The Raw Material

Pick one of these per week as your source:

  • A coaching session recording (with client permission, of course)
  • A voice memo you record after a breakthrough session
  • A video or podcast episode you already published
  • A notes doc from a workshop or talk you gave
  • Even a particularly good email you wrote to a client

For this walkthrough, let’s say you recorded a 40-minute coaching session (or a voice memo summarizing a key insight from one).

Step 1: Transcribe (15 minutes)

Upload your recording to Otter.ai (free up to 300 minutes/month). It transcribes in real-time. You’ll get a searchable text document with speaker labels.

If you don’t have a recording, record a 5-minute voice memo on your phone capturing: “What’s one thing a client learned today that would help other coaches’ clients?” That’s your source material.

Step 2: Extract the Core Insights (10 minutes)

Read the transcript. Pull out the 3-5 most useful, specific, or surprising insights. These are your “content seeds.” Each seed will become multiple pieces of content.

Good insight example: “My client was trying to journal every day and failing because she was doing it at night when she was exhausted. We moved it to right after her morning coffee and her consistency went from 20% to 90%.”

Bad insight example: “Journaling is important.” — Too generic. Specificity drives engagement.

Step 3: The Repurposing Funnel (60 minutes)

Take each insight and run it through this funnel:

From one insight, produce:

1 LinkedIn/Twitter post (10 minutes) — Lead with the hook. “We moved her journaling from 10pm to 7am and her consistency went from 20% to 90%. Here’s why timing matters more than willpower.”

1 email newsletter item (10 minutes) — Expand the insight into a story. Three paragraphs: The problem → The fix → The result.

1 Instagram/TikTok script (5 minutes) — A 60-second script with a strong opening hook. “Stop trying to build habits at the end of the day when your willpower is gone.”

1 short client-facing tip (5 minutes) — A one-paragraph actionable takeaway you can send to current clients as a bonus.

1 story/poll/engagement post (5 minutes) — “What time of day do you struggle most to stay consistent? Comment below.”

Do this for each of your 3-5 insights. That’s 15-25 pieces of content from one source.

Step 4: The Long-Form Anchor (30 minutes)

Now write one long-form piece — a blog post, newsletter, or LinkedIn article — that ties all the insights together. This is your anchor piece.

Structure: Use the coaching session itself as the narrative spine.

“In a recent session, a client told me she’d been trying to journal every day for six months and had never made it past day three. We dug into why. Here are three things we discovered about habit formation — and the exact changes that took her from 20% to 90% consistency…”

Post this on your blog, LinkedIn, or as your weekly newsletter. It becomes the anchor that all your shorter content points back to.

From this one long-form piece, you can extract:

  • 3 social posts (one per insight)
  • 3 short-form video scripts (one per insight, repackaged for different platforms)
  • 1 newsletter issue (the piece itself)
  • 3 client tips (send one per week as a value-add to current clients)
  • 1 podcast outline (use the structure as a podcast episode framework)

That’s 11 more pieces from the long-form piece. Combined with the 15-25 from Step 3, you’re at 26-36 pieces of content from one 40-minute recording.

The Tools That Make This Faster

Content Brain — Our AI system that learns your coaching voice and automates this entire funnel. Record a voice memo, and Content Brain generates your blog post, social posts, email, and video scripts — in your voice, using your frameworks.

Descript — Edit video and audio by editing the transcript. Remove filler words, add captions, and generate clips from long-form content in minutes.

Canva — Create graphics for each social post. Use the “Magic Studio” AI features to generate designs from your text. The Pro plan ($13/month) includes brand kits and content planner.

Buffer — Schedule everything at once. The free tier handles 3 channels. The Essentials plan ($6/month/channel) adds AI-powered posting time optimization.

Typefully — Best for scheduling Twitter/X threads and LinkedIn posts. The Growth plan ($29/month) includes AI drafts and analytics.

The One-Week Content Production Workflow

Here’s what a sustainable weekly rhythm looks like:

Monday (30 min) — Record a 5-10 minute voice memo recapping a key client insight or session breakthrough.

Tuesday (30 min) — Transcribe and extract 3-5 insights. Draft your anchor long-form piece (blog post or LinkedIn article).

Wednesday (30 min) — Run each insight through the repurposing funnel. Generate social posts, video scripts, and email items.

Thursday (15 min) — Create graphics in Canva. Schedule everything in Buffer or Typefully.

Friday (15 min) — Review analytics. Note which pieces performed best. Those topics get expanded into next week’s anchor piece.

Total: 2 hours/week.

That’s a full content engine — blog, email, social, video — running on 2 hours a week. Compare that to the 10+ hours most coaches spend scrambling for content ideas the night before.

Why This Works

The repurposing funnel works because most of your audience doesn’t see most of your content. LinkedIn reach is 5-10% of followers. Email open rates are 20-30%. Instagram reach is even lower.

Publishing one piece and calling it done means 90% of your audience never saw it. Repurposing across formats and platforms ensures every insight finds the audience it helps.

It also reinforces your authority. When someone sees your ideas on LinkedIn, then in their inbox, then on Instagram, then hears you mention it in a video — you become the coach who owns that topic.
