Homework Clients Actually Do

One action, calendared, identity-sized. Kill the five-item list.

Five action items is how nothing happens. One experiment they can see on Tuesday is homework. Build it on the visible progress recap, not a buried email.

The Three Tests

  1. One — if you need a list, you don’t have an experiment.
  2. Calendared — day and time, or it’s a wish.
  3. Identity-sized — they can finish it as the person they are this week, not the person in the vision board.

Feedback is for the skip, not a new pile. Track it in the same three-point note.

How to Assign It

“What’s the smallest version you’ll actually do? When? How will I know?”

Write it where they can see it. Send it in the recap. That’s the assignment.

Where Coaches Break

  • Adding a reading list so you feel thorough.
  • Accepting “I’ll try to…” Try is not a calendar.

The 3-Minute Action

Open the last three recaps. Cut every list to one item. If you can’t, the experiment wasn’t designed.
